How It Works

Precise result, no frustration!

  1. Take test cassette.
  2. Take the full liquid tube and the empty specimen tube. Remove the top of the full liquid tube and take off the cover of the empty specimen tube.
  3. Add 10 drops from the full liquid tube to the empty specimen tube and close it with the cover.
  4. Turn the swab against the nostril wall slowly into the nostril, then to the nasal palate, and then rotate while wiping and remove slowly.
  5. Take the specimen tube and remove the cover. Insert the head of the swab into the specimen tube, mix well, squeeze the swab 10-15 times by compressing the walls of the specimen tube against the swab, let it stand for 2 minutes. Take out the swab. Put on the cover on the specimen tube.
  6. Take test cassette and the specimen tube, add 3 drops  of the sample to the test cassette hole.
  7. The positive specimen can be detected at 15 minutes after sample addition.

POSITIVE RESULTS = two colored lines

About rapid antigen COVID-19 test

Rapid antigen tests are the fastest tests to find out if you are sick with COVID-19. They help to find protein fragments (antigens) of the virus, without going to a laboratory, but by making a test at home.

If you have signs of respiratory illness but need to appear in a public place and rule out the presence of the virus, rapid antigen tests will be extremely helpful and effective. Rapid tests are also handy if you need to get tested regularly.

The tests are flat plastic test strip cards. The test card contains a colloidal gold-labeled monoclonal antibody to the SARS-CoV-2 N protein.

To get results and use test kits, no special medical education, no doctor's prescription or medical equipment is required. No special temperature conditions are required for their transportation.

The tests are very sensitive and suitable for home use. They have been approved by the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration).

The material for research is taken from the mucous membrane of the nose or throat. The result will be ready in 10-15 minutes. One line on the test card indicates a negative result, two lines - a positive result. It is recommended that tests be used within the first 5–12 days after symptoms appear.

False-positive test results are unlikely, false-negative results are possible, so antigen tests are best used early in the disease. If the result is negative, retesting for antigen or molecular testing is recommended.

Testing is one of three ways (along with masks and social distancing) to reduce the spread of COVID. These methods work most effectively when used together.

F.A.Q

When do I need to get tested for coronavirus?

It is advisable to check for the virus in your body if you have a dry cough, fatigue, headache, fever, or loss of smell. It is also necessary to do a test if you find out that you recently spent time with an infected person. Go to quarantine and get tested immediately.

Testing is best done five to six days after potential infection. You can also do the test as a precautionary measure.

What are the different types of diagnostic COVID-19 tests?

There are several types of coronavirus tests: molecular tests, which look for the genetic material of the virus, and antigen tests, which look for viral proteins.

All tests use a sample taken from the nose, throat, or mouth.

A laboratory molecular test is a most readily available test, a polymerase chain reaction test that looks for parts of the genetic material of a virus. It is able to detect even a very small amount of viral material, but it may take 10 or more days to get the result. PCR can give a false negative result during the first few days of infection, and the test can also give a positive result several weeks after infection. Molecular tests are quite expensive.

A rapid antigen test identifies the constituents of the coronavirus protein. If viral antigens are found in the sample, one of the lines on the paper test strip turns dark. These tests are cheaper than molecular tests and provide results in 10-15 minutes. These tests are best done several times during the week. A rapid test can also give a false negative result during the first days of infection.

The Rapid Molecular Test allows you to quickly conduct molecular testing. These tests are quick and highly sensitive, but are not as accurate as laboratory tests and take longer to produce a result than antigen tests. Like other tests, rapid molecular tests can give a false-negative result.

How is a sample taken for COVID-19 testing?

For many tests, the sample is taken through the nose. The most reliable sampling method is the nasopharyngeal swab. To do this, a flexible stick with an absorbent substance is inserted into the nasal cavity until it reaches the throat. It is more convenient to take a swab from the nostril. To do this, you must use a tampon. Also, a smear is often taken through the mouth, from the back of the pharynx. In addition, saliva samples may be taken, which the patient must collect in a test tube.

Can I get a coronavirus test at home?

There are home tests that are approved by the FDA. Among them, for example, tests produced by North American Diagnostics and Lepu Medical. Simple Home Testing Kits allow you to do daily tests before going to the office, shop, restaurant, school, any public place. A rapid test done at home can detect an infection before overt symptoms appear.

Why do I need a coronavirus antibody test?

You can get tested to detect antibodies in your blood. The test will show if you have been infected in the past, but this test cannot be used to diagnose a current infection. The presence of antibodies indicates some level of protection but does not guarantee the absence of the possibility of reinfection. It can take one to three weeks for the body to develop antibodies. The waiting time for the result varies from several days to two weeks. Both false positive and false negative results are possible.

How long does it take to wait for the COVID-19 rapid antigen test results?

Most tests give a result in 10-15 minutes.
